Facial Rejuvenation
It is unavoidable. Over time, our face shows the signs of aging, gravity and, perhaps, smoking and excess sun exposure. These changes result in an appearance that may look older than we feel. Our face expresses our personality to those around us and we want our face to represent us as healthy and youthful. Through expert facial rejuvenation techniques, Dr. Behar can turn back time and correct some of the aging changes that have developed.
A facelift/necklift will address those changes that develop in our cheeks, jowls and neck. As the effects of gravity and time are seen, the youthful, triangular appearance of the face will take on a square look with relaxed jowls and skin laxity in the neck. We may have deep wrinkles and/or furrows in our face that are of concern. Through discreetly placed incisions Dr. Behar is able to perform a careful and natural facelift, thus turning back the hands of time, returning your facial appearance to what you might have seen twenty years ago. The cheek and jowl will be elevated and pulled carefully, but naturally, back into its more youthful position. The skin and soft tissue of the neck will be adjusted appropriately so as to recreate the younger neckline that you desire. If desired, facelift/necklift can be combined with additional facial rejuvenation procedures or performed as a stand-alone procedure.
Over time, our forehead and brow sag. The youthful arch of the eyebrows is lost. The area above and around our eyes takes on a tired and, perhaps, even angry appearance. With browlift, Dr. Behar can acheive a brighter, more youthful appearance for your eyes and forehead. Whether a traditional open browlift is necessary or if an endoscopic browlift is required, Dr. Behar can offer you a natural browlift result. For those of us with only early aging changes of the brow, a limited browlift can be performed through the same upper eyelid incision that is used to rejuvenate the upper eyelids during blepharoplasty (see eyelid lift).
If the areas around your eyes are of greatest concern, rejuvenation techniques such as upper and lower blepharoplasty can be provided. In these cases the excess skin and fatty fullness which lead to tired, older looking eyes can be removed through expertly placed, all but invisible scars.
